Aventon’s Aventure.2 fat tire ebike comes equipped with a throttle that has a maximum speed of 20 mph.

Aventon ebikes like the Aventure.2 are built to the IPX4 water-resistant standard. IPX4 means that your bike is resistant to water splashes from any direction. This means it’s OK to ride your ebike in light rain. It won’t be harmed by spray from a wet road or raindrops. Your ebike is not intended to be exposed to prolonged rain, be submerged, or subjected to a pressurized spray. Don’t use a pressure washer or sprayer to clean your ebike.
Fat tire bikes are designed primarily for all-terrain use and can handle various terrains, including street, snow, sand, dirt trails, and rough roads.
Yes. Class 1 ebikes are pedal-assist only, meaning they have no throttle. By removing the throttle on your Aventon ebike, you can configure a class 2 to a class 1 ebike for trail use.
Aventon does not sell conversion kits. All Aventon bikes are already designed with electrical components, such as integrated batteries, motors, and sensors for an optimal riding experience.
Taking care of your ebike battery is an integral part of getting the most out of your Aventon ebike. Here are a few things to remember:

  1. 1. Charge your battery regularly to avoid fully draining your battery’s stored energy or voltage.
  2. 2. Use the right charger. Only use an Aventon branded and proper model charger (Be sure to place the charger brick on a flat, non-flammable surface like metal or concrete. The charger brick will conduct heat while charging.)
  3. 3. Avoid overcharging your ebike.
  4. 4. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store and charge the battery in a climate-controlled area, keeping it away from both extreme heat and cold.
  5. 5. Maintain the right level of charge. The battery should be stored at 75% charge to its health.
  6. 6. Avoid heavy loads. Do not exceed the bike’s recommended maximum capacity.
  7. 7. Keep your battery, terminal, & ports clean.

Electric bikes require regular maintenance tune-ups similar to traditional bikes and cars. To get the best performance out of your ebike, regularly check tires, tubes, chains, battery, and brakes, or visit a local bike shop for professional assistance. Performing a pre-ride safety check helps maintain your ebike, as well as staying up-to-date on non-electric component maintenance and repairs.
The torque sensor design is more intuitive for the rider at high and low speeds, it’s more efficient, has smoother power delivery, and is less prone to damage as the sensor is internal opposed to the external cadence sensor.

So far so good.

I got my Aventure 2 two weeks ago. The setup was easy.. I am a relatively large guy and have gone on a few rides and it’s been great. It’s a bit of a heavier bike so it’s not easy to load and unload from a truck or bike rack (you’ll need heavy duty rack) but once you are riding it is very responsive. Because of the large tires it’s not super nimble on narrow trails with sharp turns but other than that, it’s been great! Battery performance so far has been great.. the longest ride so far has been around 23 miles and it was still at 60% charge by the end of the ride. Battery assist does have a limiter on it and it stops at 20.8 mph I believe. After that it’s all on you. The only thing that I wish was different is the weight but that is expected with an e-bike. If you want to add a pack to the back, you may want to go a size smaller because if not, it’s a challenge to get your leg over if it isn’t the pass through bike frame. I haven’t had it long enough to be able to discuss the durability but so far I am happy.

Awesome bike!

Easy to assemble and incredible ride. Rented in Florida before I bought it. Also like the pedal assist and throttle! Some bikes do not have both.
