As the Ramblas is a performance mountain bike, it’s not common for mountain bikes to have step-through options as the frame’s rigidity takes priority over everything for optimal performance and control on rougher terrain. Generally, mountain bikers of smaller size will simply choose a smaller size frame to ease their riding experience.
Yes. However, this will limit the Ramblas’s use. Ramblas is a class 1 electric bike, without a throttle it’s allowed on various dirt roads and mountain bike trails. Currently, there are no compatible throttle options for the Ramblas either.
Aventon’s Ramblas can be used on a variety of terrain, including city streets, dirt roads, and mountain bike trails, especially singletrack. Singletrack dirt trails are usually 6–24 inches wide and can range from smooth to highly technical.
Aventon’s Ramblas weighs 54 lbs with the battery installed. (Battery weight is 8.44lbs)
Aventon’s Ramblas is a class 1 electric mountain bike, and does not include a throttle.
Aventon’s Ramblas is built to the IPX4 water-resistant standard. IP67 rating means it’s protected against the effects of immersion in water to a depth between 15 cm and 1 meter. IP67-rated products are referred to as waterproof vs only water-resistant, so you can cross creeks, and ride in rain and mud without worry. Aventon ebikes are not intended to be subjected to a pressurized spray. Do not use a pressure washer or sprayer to clean your ebike.
Taking care of your ebike battery is an integral part of getting the most out of your Aventon ebike. Here are a few things to remember:

  1. 1. Charge your battery regularly to avoid fully draining your battery’s stored energy or voltage.
  2. 2. Use the right charger. Only use an Aventon branded and proper model charger (Be sure to place the charger brick on a flat, non-flammable surface like metal or concrete. The charger brick will conduct heat while charging.)
  3. 3. Avoid overcharging your ebike.
  4. 4. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store and charge the battery in a climate-controlled area, keeping it away from both extreme heat and cold.
  5. 5. Maintain the right level of charge. The battery should be stored at 75% charge to its health.
  6. 6. Avoid heavy loads. Do not exceed the bike’s recommended maximum capacity.
  7. 7. Keep your battery, terminal, & ports clean.

Electric bikes require regular maintenance tune-ups similar to traditional bikes and cars. To get the best performance out of your ebike, regularly check tires, tubes, chains, battery, and brakes, or visit a local bike shop for professional assistance. Performing a pre-ride safety check helps maintain your ebike, as well as staying up-to-date on non-electric component maintenance and repairs.
Yes. Class 1 ebikes are pedal-assist only, meaning they have no throttle and can only reach a maximum speed of 20 miles per hour. By removing the throttle on your Aventon ebike and ensuring the max speed limit is set to 20mph, you can configure a class 2 to a class 1 ebike for trail use.
Aventon does not sell conversion kits. All Aventon bikes are already designed with electrical components, such as integrated batteries, motors, and sensors for an optimal riding experience.
The torque sensor design is more intuitive for the rider at high and low speeds, it’s more efficient, has smoother power delivery, and is less prone to damage as the sensor is internal opposed to the external cadence sensor.

My New Ramblas Adds More Enjoyment to Trail Riding

After my husband got his new Ramblas Aurora two months ago, I have been unable to keep up with him or go the distance with my old Schwinn. Once he let me ride his, I knew I had to get my own. We ordered one in size small & Borealis from Aventon's website on a Sunday night along with a bunch of accessories. The website made it easy and I was amazed that the bike came in three days. The rest of the order came shortly after that. My husband easily assembled the bike and installed the same accessories he has on his bike. My first ride was a 30 miler and I was surprised how comfortable and nimble this bike feels for a 54 lb bike. I was able to peddle it even with the power off and it didn't feel all that different than my old Schwinn. But once I put it in Eco and then Trail mode, I was totally in love. The A100 motor is so torquey and the controls are very easy to operate. Along with the front suspension and the Tannus Armour inserts, it handles rough trail with ease. I especially like the ease of shifting gears with precision accuracy. I was also pleased that my old rear rack system was able to fit my new bike along with my more cushioned seat. I really like the dropper seatpost which makes it easier for me to get on and off the bike as I'm only 5'. So far I just completed my longest bike ride ever at 66 miles in Eco mode and my battery had the range to go 100 miles! This bikes amazing range is greater than my body's endurance. I also love the looks of my bike and feel confident I can go pretty much wherever I choose with it. This bike will enable me to ride further and more frequently with my husband. I am very happy with my purchase and feel Aventon is the premier brand when it comes to quality built and affordable E-bikes. I'm looking forward to many more miles and smiles of happy rail-trail riding!

I have 2 other E-bikes a **** tire and a moped

The Ramblas is an excellent bike. I wanted a Class 1 to be able to ride on State and Federal trails and single track trails legally. I made a great decision in getting the Ramblas. Its mid-mount motor has incredible torque and battery range. It applies the torque smoothly and immediately when riding difficult surfaces. The Fit and Finish is very good and the components used are quality products. You get a great product for your money. And there’s bike shops that sell and service this bike brand in my area which is another plus. I also like that I can ride in wet conditions and not be as concerned about getting it wet, with the others I am. I am putting on a Coast suspension seat post from PNW today it will use the same cable to actuate it. Easy install.

I've had the pleasure of riding the Aventon Ramblas E-Mountain Bike, and it's hands down one of the most impressive rides I've experienced. From the sleek design to the powerful mid-drive motor, everything about the Ramblas is awesome top-notch quality. The electric assistance is smooth and responsive, making climbs a breeze while still allowing for a natural cycling feel. The Ramblas is built tough, perfect for rugged trails and equally enjoyable for casual rides on urban streets. The battery life is excellent, providing plenty of range for long adventures without needing frequent recharging. The balance of power, precision and comfort makes the Ramblas feel like it was designed specifically for those who want to push their limits while enjoying every second of the Ramblas outstanding ride. So if you are looking for an e-mountain bike that's awesomely priced and as functional as it is fun, the Aventon Ramblas is the one. I Highly Recommend!

300 miles in

This is my first e-bike purchase and I cannot be happier. The bike was very budget friendly for a starter e-mountain bike. I'm now 300 miles in and having loads of fun again

Upgrades:
-DMR vault pedals
-RockShox yari forks
-Max's minion DHF tires
-Maven ultimate brakes
-SRAM xx1 copper chain
-rawr mud guards
Next upgrades:
-Rear cassette (I have already worn out the rear cassette in the last 3 gears)
-Front sprocket (increasing the size to use more of the cassette)
-rear derailleur (I have to keep adjusting it)
