Technical Overview
The Aventure 2 comes out of the box as a Class II ebike, with pedal assist and throttle. It can be unlocked to a Class III ebike. The Aventure 2 will also operate with the throttle unplugged and removed, should you want to ride in an area where throttles are prohibited. Aventon ebikes are built to the IPX4 water-resistant standard. IPX4 means that your bike is resistant to water splashes from any direction. This means it’s OK to ride your ebike in light rain. It won’t be harmed by spray from a wet road or raindrops. Your ebike is not intended to be exposed to prolonged rain, be submerged, or subjected to a pressurized spray. Don’t use a pressure washer or sprayer to clean your ebike. *Max range determined using PAS 1 throughout flat terrain with a rider weight of 160 lb.

Fat tire bikes are designed primarily for all-terrain use and can handle various off-road terrains, including street, snow, sand, dirt trails, and rough roads.
The Aventure 2 weighs 77 lbs with the battery installed. (Battery weight is 10.6lbs)
Aventon’s Aventure 2 fat tire ebike comes equipped with a throttle that has a maximum speed of 20 mph.
Aventon ebikes like the Aventure 2 are built to the IPX4 water-resistant standard. IPX4 means that your bike is resistant to water splashes from any direction. This means it’s OK to ride your ebike in light rain. It won’t be harmed by spray from a wet road or raindrops. Aventon does not sell conversion kits. All Aventon bikes are already designed with electrical components, such as integrated batteries, motors, and sensors for an optimal riding experience.
Taking care of your ebike battery is an integral part of getting the most out of your Aventon ebike. Here are a few things to remember:

  1. 1. Charge your battery regularly to avoid fully draining your battery’s stored energy or voltage.
  2. 2. Use the right charger. Only use an Aventon branded and proper model charger (Be sure to place the charger brick on a flat, non-flammable surface like metal or concrete. The charger brick will conduct heat while charging.)
  3. 3. Avoid overcharging your ebike.
  4. 4. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store and charge the battery in a climate-controlled area, keeping it away from both extreme heat and cold.
  5. 5. Maintain the right level of charge. The battery should be stored at 75% charge to its health.
  6. 6. Avoid heavy loads. Do not exceed the bike’s recommended maximum capacity.
  7. 7. Keep your battery, terminal, & ports clean.
Some Aventon models, such as the Level 2, Level 3, Abounds, Sinch 2, & Aventure 2, come with pre-installed fenders and a rear rack. Additional accessories are available for purchase. Electric bikes require regular maintenance tune-ups similar to traditional bikes and cars. To get the best performance out of your ebike, regularly check tires, tubes, chains, battery, and brakes, or visit a local bike shop for professional assistance. Performing a pre-ride safety check helps maintain your ebike, as well as staying up-to-date on non-electric component maintenance and repairs.
The torque sensor design is more intuitive for the rider at high and low speeds, it’s more efficient, has smoother power delivery, and is less prone to damage as the sensor is internal opposed to the external cadence sensor.

Worth the upgrade!

I purchased four Adventure 2.0's for my family a couple of years ago. After three were stolen this summer while camping on the Oregon coast, I purchased one 3.0. I love the improvements! The anti-theft features alone make the bike worth the purchase. If my 2.0's would have had the GPS feature, we most likely would have caught those ****.

Pro:
1.Priced right.
2.Easy assembly
3.The firmware updates keep the bike current with new improved features.
4.Fast enough for an Ebike with the ability to change from class 2 to class 3 (28mph).
Con:
1.Keypad is finicky. Combinations of short press, long press and double press is difficult while riding. If you don't do it precisely, you get the wrong result.
2.Top gear isn't high enough. You have to pedal extremely fast to get to that 28mph. A higher top gear sprocket would help.

As a older person its too difficult to put my bike together. I bought it directly from your online line store.
I didn't realize we have a store in town called The Fitness Store here in Manitowoc Wisconsin.
They picked it up and are putting it together for me for $189.99 !!

The Aventure 3 I just reviewed is a wonderful upgrade to the Aventure 2, which was one of my favorite e-bikes! More features, more tech and security, but the same sturdy quality and fun ride. The torque/cadence sensor switch makes the ride smooth and natural for me, but also perfect for my sister (who prefers the cadence mode) when she comes along for ride!
