Technical Overview
The Level 2 comes out of the box as a Class II ebike, with pedal assist and throttle. It can be unlocked to a Class III ebike. The Level 2 will also operate with the throttle unplugged and removed, should you want to ride in an area where throttles are prohibited. Aventon ebikes are built to the IPX4 water-resistant standard. IPX4 means that your bike is resistant to water splashes from any direction. This means it’s OK to ride your ebike in light rain. It won’t be harmed by spray from a wet road or raindrops. Your ebike is not intended to be exposed to prolonged rain, be submerged, or subjected to a pressurized spray. Don’t use a pressure washer or sprayer to clean your ebike. *Max range determined using PAS 1 throughout flat terrain with a rider weight of 160 lb.

While the Level 2 does not include turn signals, it does come equipped with front and rear lights for a safer riding experience, day or night.
The average range for the Level.2 commuter ebike is up to 60 miles per charge, depending on the pedal assist level and throttle usage. For optimal riding experience with the Level.2, use the lowest PSA level to conserve battery life and extend range.
The Level 2 is a commuter-style ebike equipped with a suspension fork, fenders, and a rear rack, while the Pace 500.3 is a cruiser-style electric bike with an upright riding position, swept-back handlebars, and cushioned saddle.
Commuter ebike tires are designed to be versatile and can be ridden on both smooth and rough surfaces, including roads, gravel, dirty trails, rocky areas, and even wetlands. If you want to overcome more challenging terrain and trails, our electric mountain bike is better suited for rougher landscape due to their wider tires and different geometry.

Aventon’s Level 2 comes equipped with a throttle that has a maximum speed of 20 mph.

Either an adjustable stem or a handlebar with a higher rise can elevate the riding position of the bike.
Aventon does not sell conversion kits. All Aventon bikes are already designed with electrical components, such as integrated batteries, motors, and sensors for an optimal riding experience.
Taking care of your ebike battery is an integral part of getting the most out of your Aventon ebike. Here are a few things to remember:

  1. 1. Charge your battery regularly to avoid fully draining your battery’s stored energy or voltage.
  2. 2. Use the right charger. Only use an Aventon branded and proper model charger (Be sure to place the charger brick on a flat, non-flammable surface like metal or concrete. The charger brick will conduct heat while charging.)
  3. 3. Avoid overcharging your ebike.
  4. 4. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store and charge the battery in a climate-controlled area, keeping it away from both extreme heat and cold.
  5. 5. Maintain the right level of charge. The battery should be stored at 75% charge to its health.
  6. 6. Avoid heavy loads. Do not exceed the bike’s recommended maximum capacity.
  7. 7. Keep your battery, terminal, & ports clean.

Electric bikes require regular maintenance tune-ups similar to traditional bikes and cars. To get the best performance out of your ebike, regularly check tires, tubes, chains, battery, and brakes, or visit a local bike shop for professional assistance. Performing a pre-ride safety check helps maintain your ebike, as well as staying up-to-date on non-electric component maintenance and repairs.
The torque sensor design is more intuitive for the rider at high and low speeds, it’s more efficient, has smoother power delivery, and is less prone to damage as the sensor is internal opposed to the external cadence sensor.

Reliable and affordable

I've had my Level 2 for just under a month and love it. It was surprisingly simple to assemble in about an hour. I like the smooth transitioning of the pedal assist and the throttle is an excellent feature. I wish Aventon had a rewards program to earn points for purchases. I have to purchase 2 more bikes and it would be a great incentive.

Have taken it out for short rides in the country almost every day since I got it !Helps out a bunch on the inclines, and the 'throttle' switch helps get up and out of our steep, gravel driveway !

GREAT EBIKE!

I've been cycling all my life, and still going strong at 74. Living as I do now in Montreal cycling is a way of life here with countless paths, trails, and terrains, and personally a source of tremendous enjoyment.

Still, some of the distances and elevations had become a tad trying for me on my traditional bike. So, an ebike seemed like an obvious option, and after researching many, I recently bought an Aventon Level2.

Not only does an ebike allow me to "dial in" the level of pedal assistance (finding that right balance between exercise and support), this ebike has surpassed all expectations, and is a joy to ride in all situations.

It's durable, stable, fluid, powerful....and fast.....with a throttle option the icing on the cake. Its stylish, and eye-catching., with fellow cyclists often asking about it.....i.e. after catching up as "pops" glides past them.
