While the Level.2 does not include turn signals, it does come equipped with front and rear lights for a safer riding experience, day or night.
The average range for the Level.2 commuter ebike is up to 60 miles per charge, depending on the pedal assist level and throttle usage. For optimal riding experience with the Level.2, use the lowest PSA level to conserve battery life and extend range.
The Level.2 is a commuter-style ebike equipped with a suspension fork, fenders, and a rear rack, while the Pace 500.3 is a cruiser-style electric bike with an upright riding position, swept-back handlebars, and cushioned saddle.
Commuter ebike tires are designed to be versatile and can be ridden on both smooth and rough surfaces, including roads, gravel, dirty trails, rocky areas, and even wetlands. If you want to overcome more challenging terrain and trails, our electric mountain bike is better suited for rougher landscape due to their wider tires and different geometry.

Aventon’s Level.2 comes equipped with a throttle that has a maximum speed of 20 mph, which can be unlocked to 28mph.
Aventon ebikes like the Level.2 are built to the IPX4 water-resistant standard. IPX4 means that your bike is resistant to water splashes from any direction. This means it’s OK to ride your ebike in light rain. It won’t be harmed by spray from a wet road or raindrops. Your ebike is not intended to be exposed to prolonged rain, be submerged, or subjected to a pressurized spray. Don’t use a pressure washer or sprayer to clean your ebike.
Either an adjustable stem or a handlebar with a higher rise can elevate the riding position of the bike.
Taking care of your ebike battery is an integral part of getting the most out of your Aventon ebike. Here are a few things to remember:

  1. 1. Charge your battery regularly to avoid fully draining your battery’s stored energy or voltage.
  2. 2. Use the right charger. Only use an Aventon branded and proper model charger (Be sure to place the charger brick on a flat, non-flammable surface like metal or concrete. The charger brick will conduct heat while charging.)
  3. 3. Avoid overcharging your ebike.
  4. 4. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store and charge the battery in a climate-controlled area, keeping it away from both extreme heat and cold.
  5. 5. Maintain the right level of charge. The battery should be stored at 75% charge to its health.
  6. 6. Avoid heavy loads. Do not exceed the bike’s recommended maximum capacity.
  7. 7. Keep your battery, terminal, & ports clean.

Electric bikes require regular maintenance tune-ups similar to traditional bikes and cars. To get the best performance out of your ebike, regularly check tires, tubes, chains, battery, and brakes, or visit a local bike shop for professional assistance. Performing a pre-ride safety check helps maintain your ebike, as well as staying up-to-date on non-electric component maintenance and repairs.
Yes. Class 1 ebikes are pedal-assist only, meaning they have no throttle and can only reach a maximum speed of 20 miles per hour. By removing the throttle on your Aventon ebike and ensuring the max speed limit is set to 20mph, you can configure a class 2 to a class 1 ebike for trail use.
Aventon does not sell conversion kits. All Aventon bikes are already designed with electrical components, such as integrated batteries, motors, and sensors for an optimal riding experience.
The torque sensor design is more intuitive for the rider at high and low speeds, it’s more efficient, has smoother power delivery, and is less prone to damage as the sensor is internal opposed to the external cadence sensor.

Perfect for commuting!!

I bought the Level.2 Step-Through Commuter Ebike mostly for commuting to/from work, and running errands around town. Previously I was riding a standard bike for commuting and would get all sweaty between destinations. But now, no more sweaty commutes and way less winded going up and down hills. I absolutely LOVE the throttle to help get you started at stop signs/lights and going up hills. It also makes me feel more safe when riding on the road with traffic because I can get up to speed a bit quicker (less wobbly getting going). It doesn't have turning blinkers which I was a little sad to realize, but totally understand that one bike can't have it all. ;) I do enjoy that it comes with the back rack already assembled on the rear wheel. Overall, definitely worth the money and I wish I would have bought it sooner!!

Great bike

Really nice bike. It provides a wide range of pedals assist to allow you to get as much exercise as you would like yet with enough power for the biggest hills.

As advertised

I researched this Aventon bike for almost 2 years and thought that it sounded too good to be true. Well I finally decided to purchase it and I am here to tell everyone that it performs exactly as they advertised. It came sooner than I expected and was packaged extremely well. The video on assembling the bike was easy to follow and I had it together within an hour or so. I do have to say that I didn’t follow their advise on having a helper lift the bike to assemble the front wheel into the brake caliper and it was a struggle doing it alone. As soon as I took my first ride with it I knew that I made the right decision. I have had it for almost a month now and have close to 200 miles on it. I am 71 years old and honestly I feel 20 years younger riding it. It has been a game changer. Also my wife purchased a Pace 500.3 and she is just as thrilled with hers.

Overall very happy, totally recommend, but it could use a few small changes.

The Level.2 has everything I was looking for in an e-bike; great battery life, lots of torque, pedal assist and throttle option, built in lights, fenders, rear rack and comfortable riding position, option to charge battery in bike or removed, quick adjust seat post, easy to assemble, very high quality build and components and a built in USB charging port!

There are a few changes that I'd make if I could:
1) Give me the option to NOT dim the display when lights are turned on. At night it's no problem. But I also use the lights during the day for safety. It would help greatly to allow me an option to keep the display at full brightness for ease of reading when wearing sunglasses.
2) Give an option to oscillate the front and rear lights for safety reasons. Oscillating or flashing lights help to alert oncoming motorists.

This is my second Aventon e-bike for a reason. They are high quality, comfortable, and very affordable. Highly recommended.
