Technical Overview
The Abound ships as a Class II ebike, with pedal assist and throttle. The Abound will also operate with the throttle unplugged and removed, should you want to ride in an area where throttles are prohibited. Aventon ebikes are built to the IPX5-rated standard. An IPX5 rating means the bike is protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction. This provides a moderate level of water resistance, allowing you to ride in light to moderate rain or through small puddles. However, IPX5 does not mean waterproof—Aventon ebikes are not designed for full submersion. Avoid using a pressure washer or high-pressure sprayer to clean your ebike, as pressurized water can still damage components. *Max range determined using PAS 1 throughout flat terrain with a rider weight of 160 lb.

Yes. The Aventon Suspension Seatpost is compatible with most Aventon ebike models, including the Aventon Abound.
Yes. The Aventon Abound kickstand can easily be replaced by removing the four bolts on the bottom of the kickstand but only the stock Aventon kickstand is compatible.

Aventon does not sell conversion kits. All Aventon bikes are already designed with electrical components, such as integrated batteries, motors, and sensors for an optimal riding experience.
Taking care of your ebike battery is an integral part of getting the most out of your Aventon ebike. Here are a few things to remember:

  1. 1. Charge your battery regularly to avoid fully draining your battery’s stored energy or voltage.
  2. 2. Use the right charger. Only use an Aventon branded and proper model charger (Be sure to place the charger brick on a flat, non-flammable surface like metal or concrete. The charger brick will conduct heat while charging.)
  3. 3. Avoid overcharging your ebike.
  4. 4. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store and charge the battery in a climate-controlled area, keeping it away from both extreme heat and cold.
  5. 5. Maintain the right level of charge. The battery should be stored at 75% charge to its health.
  6. 6. Avoid heavy loads. Do not exceed the bike’s recommended maximum capacity.
  7. 7. Keep your battery, terminal, & ports clean.
Some Aventon models, such as the Level 2, Level 3, Abounds, Sinch 2, & Aventure 2, come with pre-installed fenders and a rear rack. Additional accessories are available for purchase. Electric bikes require regular maintenance tune-ups similar to traditional bikes and cars. To get the best performance out of your ebike, regularly check tires, tubes, chains, battery, and brakes, or visit a local bike shop for professional assistance. Performing a pre-ride safety check helps maintain your ebike, as well as staying up-to-date on non-electric component maintenance and repairs.
The torque sensor design is more intuitive for the rider at high and low speeds, it’s more efficient, has smoother power delivery, and is less prone to damage as the sensor is internal opposed to the external cadence sensor.

Kids cargo bike

This bike is amazing! It is incredibly safe for the kids, which is my number one goal. You can fit two kids on it with plenty of room. I even attached a seat to the handlebar so my eight month old can ride with us. It has an automatic headlight, brake lights, blinkers. It is a smooth ride and so easy for me to take the kids out for some fun on my own. We love our bike! Customer service was so good to us as well when our rear tire went flat. Thank you!

Seriously an amazing bike!

This bike is great, I have logged around 6 or so hours riding this bike with 2 toddlers (ages 3 & 4) on the back. I love using the pedal assist so I still get a decent workout. My kids love it and it makes it so much fun to get around in. My only recommendation is putting FlatOut Tire Sealant in the tubes when you get it, especially if you live in an area with lots of thorns etc. I put FlatOut in the stock tubes and tires and have had no issues getting a flat tire. I keep the tires at 45 PSI which is a really nice and comfortable ride with 2 kids on the back. I love that the bike has a brake light, tail light and turn signals. The headlight is really bright too! I really have nothing bad to say about this bike. I thought about buying it for months before I finally broke down and did it. I am so glad I did. I wasn't paid or compensated for writing this review, these are my honest thoughts about the bike. Oh and definitely get yourself a lock if you plan on leaving your bike unattended at all in public for any amount of time.
