Aventon’s Level.2 comes equipped with a throttle that has a maximum speed of 20 mph.
While the Level.2 does not include turn signals, it does come equipped with front and rear lights for a safer riding experience, day or night.
Either an adjustable stem or a handlebar with a higher rise can elevate the riding position of the bike.
The Level.2 is a commuter-style ebike equipped with a suspension fork, fenders, and a rear rack, while the Pace 500.3 is a cruiser-style electric bike with an upright riding position, swept-back handlebars, and cushioned saddle.
The Level.2 commuter electric bike weighs 62 lbs with the battery installed. (Battery weight is 7.6lbs)
Aventon ebikes like the Level.2 are built to the IPX4 water-resistant standard. IPX4 means that your bike is resistant to water splashes from any direction. This means it’s OK to ride your ebike in light rain. It won’t be harmed by spray from a wet road or raindrops. Your ebike is not intended to be exposed to prolonged rain, be submerged, or subjected to a pressurized spray. Don’t use a pressure washer or sprayer to clean your ebike.
Commuter ebike tires are designed to be versatile and can be ridden on both smooth and rough surfaces, including roads, gravel, dirty trails, rocky areas, and even wetlands. If you want to overcome more challenging terrain and trails, our electric mountain bike is better suited for rougher landscape due to their wider tires and different geometry.
The average range for the Level.2 commuter ebike is up to 60 miles per charge, depending on the pedal assist level and throttle usage. For optimal riding experience with the Level.2, use the lowest PSA level to conserve battery life and extend range.
Yes. Class 1 ebikes are pedal-assist only, meaning they have no throttle. By removing the throttle on your Aventon ebike, you can configure a class 2 to a class 1 ebike for trail use.
Aventon does not sell conversion kits. All Aventon bikes are already designed with electrical components, such as integrated batteries, motors, and sensors for an optimal riding experience.
Taking care of your ebike battery is an integral part of getting the most out of your Aventon ebike. Here are a few things to remember:

  1. 1. Charge your battery regularly to avoid fully draining your battery’s stored energy or voltage.
  2. 2. Use the right charger. Only use an Aventon branded and proper model charger (Be sure to place the charger brick on a flat, non-flammable surface like metal or concrete. The charger brick will conduct heat while charging.)
  3. 3. Avoid overcharging your ebike.
  4. 4. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store and charge the battery in a climate-controlled area, keeping it away from both extreme heat and cold.
  5. 5. Maintain the right level of charge. The battery should be stored at 75% charge to its health.
  6. 6. Avoid heavy loads. Do not exceed the bike’s recommended maximum capacity.
  7. 7. Keep your battery, terminal, & ports clean.

Electric bikes require regular maintenance tune-ups similar to traditional bikes and cars. To get the best performance out of your ebike, regularly check tires, tubes, chains, battery, and brakes, or visit a local bike shop for professional assistance. Performing a pre-ride safety check helps maintain your ebike, as well as staying up-to-date on non-electric component maintenance and repairs.
The torque sensor design is more intuitive for the rider at high and low speeds, it’s more efficient, has smoother power delivery, and is less prone to damage as the sensor is internal opposed to the external cadence sensor.

Birthday gift for someone turning 60

We live in the foothills of southern Az and biking in this area is simply amazing with these bikes. The hard to travel uphill trails in this area have become reachable for me with the touch of a button. We can easily bike to our son’s house that lives 3 miles away to see the family and can ride back without the feeling of being exhausted.
Probably one of the best purchases that we have done in this stage of life.

Fun and still good exercise

Purchased my Level 2 from a local bike shop. They assembled so it was done correctly. Have ridden the bike about 50 miles and having fun while still getting good exercise. Moving over from a traditional road bike I wondered if you would be able to get adequate exercise on an e bike. For me, I can. Ride it in a low assist mode in a higher gear and push the pace. Then back off for a bit and cruise. Very enjoyable. Glad I chose this bike with a torque sensor. For the record, I am 70 years old.
