Aventon ebikes like the Pace are built to the IPX4 water-resistant standard. IPX4 means that your bike is resistant to water splashes from any direction. This means it’s OK to ride your ebike in light rain. It won’t be harmed by spray from a wet road or raindrops. Your ebike is not intended to be exposed to prolonged rain, be submerged, or subjected to a pressurized spray. Don’t use a pressure washer or sprayer to clean your ebike.
Yes. Class 1 ebikes are pedal-assist only, meaning they have no throttle. By removing the throttle on your Aventon ebike, you can configure a class 2 to a class 1 ebike for trail use.
Aventon does not sell conversion kits. All Aventon bikes are already designed with electrical components, such as integrated batteries, motors, and sensors for an optimal riding experience.
Taking care of your ebike battery is an integral part of getting the most out of your Aventon ebike. Here are a few things to remember:

  1. 1. Charge your battery regularly to avoid fully draining your battery’s stored energy or voltage.
  2. 2. Use the right charger. Only use an Aventon branded and proper model charger (Be sure to place the charger brick on a flat, non-flammable surface like metal or concrete. The charger brick will conduct heat while charging.)
  3. 3. Avoid overcharging your ebike.
  4. 4. Avoid extreme temperatures. Store and charge the battery in a climate-controlled area, keeping it away from both extreme heat and cold.
  5. 5. Maintain the right level of charge. The battery should be stored at 75% charge to its health.
  6. 6. Avoid heavy loads. Do not exceed the bike’s recommended maximum capacity.
  7. 7. Keep your battery, terminal, & ports clean.

Electric bikes require regular maintenance tune-ups similar to traditional bikes and cars. To get the best performance out of your ebike, regularly check tires, tubes, chains, battery, and brakes, or visit a local bike shop for professional assistance. Performing a pre-ride safety check helps maintain your ebike, as well as staying up-to-date on non-electric component maintenance and repairs.
The torque sensor design is more intuitive for the rider at high and low speeds, it’s more efficient, has smoother power delivery, and is less prone to damage as the sensor is internal opposed to the external cadence sensor.

Great E-Bike

First time on a E-Bike. It was easy to unbox and assemble with minimal adjustment to fit me. Have only used it 3 times for a total of 26 miles and it is really nice to ride and easy to operate.

One of the best purchases I have made

I'm 1700 miles in, and I have almost zero complaints with this bike. I live in an area with decent bike infrastructure but has a lot of hills, and this bike makes it very easy to get around as a student — no longer do I have to wait for a the bus or spend money on a car.
Even with a rear rack that is packed full with groceries, the bike has no problem powering through the hills. Cruising on flat ground is also seamless and very smooth.
My only complaint with this specific bike would be that it doesn't have a front suspension fork, so it does get a little bumpy on uneven ground — I would recommend getting an Level if that is really important to you, but I prefer the overall ride ergonomics of the Pace 500.3. Otherwise, I highly recommend Aventon as a brand. The quality of the product is really strong and you can tell that they didn't take many shortcuts in product quality to increase their profit, and they also have excellent customer support (that has been prompt in helping me with all issues I've had with accessories or components). The Pace 500.3 also looks really good — it isn't like a lot of other e-bikes where they are visually obnoxiously an e-bike, bur rather it looks fairly subtle. I have the green variant and I've had no issues with the paint fading, rusting or chipping away.
As far as mechanical issues, I've had two so far. The first one was to do with the brakes, and they still were making noise despite bleeding in after several hundred miles. Aventon has great videos on their Youtube channel on how to fix this, it was an easy enough fix. The other issue was with an accessory to this bike, the rear rack. After about 1500 miles, two of the support posts snapped, but it was engineered well enough to where it didn't completely fall off due to the support of the third post. Aventon was happy to replace these, which is something I'm not sure many other companies would do.
Overall, between the major e-bike brands that I came across when shopping for a bike, I have zero regrets choosing Aventon. The product quality and customer service are stellar and I highly recommend the Pace 500.3

Pace 500.3

I bought my Pace to go on farther bike rides and get off the couch. My husband has never been a biker. I talked him into trying the Pace. He has a bad neck and this bike allows him to sit upright without straining his neck. He LOVES it!! They are so easy to use and adjust to your comfort levels. I am looking forward to warmer weather to ride on the many bike trails in our area! Don’t hesitate buy one today!

Great for petite user

I wasn’t thrilled with the color in-line but the blue was not available. However, I like the color in person. The direction to out together were confusing in a few areas but we got it done. I feel like there could be better instructions on using the features but we are figuring it out. I’m short and this bike is great for me! I also like the light weight and the ability to use without any electric. It’s early but so far, I’m very happy with it!
